New York Day Six: Empire State Building and The Lion King

We were off to the Empire Statue Building on our 6th day. Going up the Empire State was much quicker than we expected, only taking about an hour, much less queuing than the Eiffel Tower.

The skyline was breath taking, so much higher than any other city. I enjoyed seeing all the yellow cabs down below, the peak of skyscrapers towards the Financial District, the parting of roads from the Flatiron Building, the gap of buildings where Central Park lies and the beautiful Chrysler Building.

After, we went to tick off some other touristy things that we hadn’t done yet. Including my favourite building the Chrysler, which is just so pretty! We then walked into Grand Central Station, I loved the starry ceiling and huge windows. It was just a ridiculous train station!

Finally we went to the Public Library were I was keen to find the rooms from Ghostbusters, but it was so much bigger than we thought and after rushing through we never found it. But it was all okay! As we were rushing to get some dinner and then go to Broadway for The Lion King!

The Lion King was absolutely brilliant and mind-blowing and funny and the music was just perfect and the costumes and sets were magical and I want to watch it again! To end the perfect night we got to see Times Square lit up!
